Yu Zhang is a second-year student of the Master of Architecture program. She will receive her M. Arch degree from the College of Architecture of Texas A&M University in May 2018. She holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Hebei University of Architecture, China.
Her research interest is in sustainable and healthcare design. This year, she received the Edward J. Romieniec Graduate Travel Fellowship and will continue her daylighting research in Japan. In her final project, she is integrating multiple sustainable and daylighting strategies to reduce the energy consumption of the building and to increase the use of natural light for additional health benefits for people. She is a member of TAMU’s Student Health Environments Association (SHEA).
